NARSC 2016 Field Trips
NARSC is pleased to offer two field trips at its upcoming meetings in Minneapolis – Transit Infrastructure Developments in the Twin Cities and City Loop Bike Tour. Details for both field trips can be found below.
Field Trip 1
Transit Infrastructure Developments in the Twin Cities
NARSC invites you to participate in a tour of recent developments in the Twin Cities transit infrastructure, including the new light rail line and the recently opened Bus Rapid Transit line. The tour will be led by Charles Carlson, Senior Manager for BRT Projects at Metro Transit. We will assemble in the lobby of the Marriott. We will leave promptly at 4pm on Wednesday, November 9. The tour will be approximately 1.5 hours and will return to Nicolett Station.
There is no cost for the tour but as we will be taking several different modes of transit, a transit pass is needed. Transit passes for just the time during the tour are $4 and $6 for a 24-hour pass (longer time frames are also available). Passes can be purchased at all ticket machines at rail stations.
To RSVP for the tour, please email Kate Nesse at email@example.com.
Field Trip 2
City Loop Bike Tour
NARSC invites you to join other conference participants for a “City Loop” Bicycle Tour. The 1.5 hour tour will start at 3:00pm on Saturday, November 12. The tour will cover the downtown area and will focus on the development of the city, industry and recent changes. The tour cost is $39.50 (includes bicycle with helmet with speakers).
