Interest Groups are voluntary associations of regional scientists who share interests in specific topical issues of regional science and a methodological perspective. So far several interest groups have formed, organizing special sessions at the annual North American Meetings of RSAI, and forming networks linked through a community of scholarly interests and collegial social interactions.
